The True Process of Making High-Quality E-Liquid

If you're new to vaping, you're probably both dazzled and a bit intimidated by the enormous selection of e-liquids on the market. Between local vape shops and online retailers, there are seemingly endless flavors and brands out there for you to choose from, and selecting the proper e-liquid is essential to a pleasurable vaping experience.

You have probably heard the phrase "premium" tossed around when picking out a juice. "Premium" means high quality, but what, exactly, makes an e-liquid premium? As it turns out, creating a high quality e-liquid requires lots of extra work and money for the manufacturer, and experienced vapers believe that the results are completely worth the slightly elevated price tag.

About 85-95% of e-liquid is made up of a base of Proplyene Glycol (PG) and Vegetable Glycerin (VG) as well as varying nicotine levels based on the customer's desire. These base ingredients, as well as the percentage of the base to the flavoring ingredients, does not vary in regards to different e-liquids. Therefore, it's the flavoring ingredients that make a juice premium or not.

Flavors used in e-liquids are incredibly diverse in quality and taste. There are many flavoring ingredients which are manufactured in China that have a very low quality, and as a result, the e-liquids that use them will be cheaper in price. Other flavoring ingredients are manufactured in America, as well as many other countries across the world, and they all vary in quality and price point.

Needless to say, manufacturers of higher-quality, premium e-liquids use better flavoring ingredients. Many premium e-liquid manufacturers are creating their own flavors in-house, as opposed to ordering flavors from wholesalers. The result is a unique flavor profile for each flavor of e-liquid they sell, and a flavor which is not mass-produced, and, therefore, one-of-a-kind.

Rather than throwing popular flavors together and sticking a label on the bottle, these premium e-liquid manufacturers are working long hours in laboratories to test different flavor combinations tirelessly. Their common goal is to produce a product that has only the best flavor, and they test each flavor repeatedly until it's absolutely up to their taste standards. The time that goes into producing each flavor alone may make the product cost a bit more, but this attention to detail ensures a significantly better-tasting product.

There are other factors that result in higher quality e-liquid. One example is a clean laboratory. When repeatedly testing various flavoring ingredients, it's easy to cross-contaminate if instruments are not properly cleaned. A cleaner laboratory means a cleaner e-liquid.

Additionally, the types of bottles which contain the e-liquids actually make a difference. When flavors are mixed with the base to create a finished e-liquid product, that product needs to steep for up to a week to ensure that the base and flavors are mixed evenly and are homogenized. Many properly experienced e-liquid manufacturers will take the time to steep these liquids by submerging the bottles in a bath of warm water. This extra step adds time and labor to the manufacturer's process, and it means that when you take home your new e-liquid, it will be properly mixed.

The time and energy that goes into creating a high-quality e-liquid means that you will be paying more for it, but, as you can see, the higher price tag is certainly worth it. A low-quality juice will ruin your vaping experience, so stick to premium juices and you'll be good to go.
